Road to Ladakh - via Manali (Day2) Second day of our trip started with a beautiful morning at Sarchu. The night was bit rough for my husband. Cold weather, mountain sickness and indigestion, everything attacked at once. But we were prepared for this and were carrying medicines with us, so situation was managed. In addition the morning view of the place was rejuvenating and breathtaking. With huge mountains on both the sides, we human appear to be miniscule part of this universe. Road to Ladakh - via Manali (Day1) In continuation to my previous post, now I will be discussing the journey to Ladakh by road. This can be done via Manali or via Srinagar. Since we went via Manali and it took us two days thus I will elaborate the first day here .  I always recommend traveling by road to Ladakh as it is a beautiful journey with nature at its best. But here you need to keep in mind that roads are open only from June  to Mid September, after the snow is cleared by Boreder Roads Organisation. Ladakh - A World beyond Words!!! Ladakh, land of high passes, is a region in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. It has an incomprehensible mountain beauty and culture. Checklist When You Travel 1. Passport and Tickets Most important thing to check before leaving is tickets and passport if you are going out of country. Though everything is available on smartphone these days, still it is wise to keep a pri nt out of tickets with you. Do check day and time of travel once again to be sure. 2. Identification Card It is one of the most important thing to carry with you. When I Got Bungeed in Rishikesh! I am an adventure loving person. It's not that I am a very daring but yes that adrenaline rush due to fear does push me forward. So when my husband shifted to Singapore in 2016 and I was also supposed to do so in a month or so, I decided that this is the time I should finally do Bungee jumping (I was planning from a year). So I started my research work for Bungee Jumping at Rishikesh by a team called Jumping Heights. You can book with any tour and travel company at Rishikesh but ultimately they will lead you to  Jumping Heights. The height of the jump is 83metres (highest in India). DIU - Calm, Quite and Beach!!! Diu is a small town in the union territory of Daman and Diu, India. It is an island connected from Gujrat by bridges and ferry. Being 10th least populated district of India it is very nice place to visit if you are looking for a vacation at a less crowded place having beach along with peaceful and green environment. Since it was a Purtugese colony during 1539 to 1961 you can still witness Purtegese culture there. Reaching Diu has multiple options: 1. By flight which directly takes you to Diu. 2. By train till Veraval and by road afterwards 3. Both local buses and taxis connect Diu with Veraval. If you want to enjoy the view along side the road on the way to Diu and want to travel at your convenience the Taxi is better option.
